We are looking for 6 exceptional people to join our trainee consultant programme – Future Players - to start in July 2019.

Major Players is the UK's leading creative, digital and tech recruitment agency.

Our consultants work across the full spectrum of digital, creative and tech roles, with an impressive range of brands and agencies. We don’t just fill jobs’, we build brands and champion the talent that makes them great. Be it for global, household names, or ambitious and trailblazing start-ups.

Our office is a collaborative, fun and hardworking environment in which everyone can be themselves. We are proud of our culture and believe it's what makes us stand out from the crowd.

The Opportunity

As a Future Player you will learn the 360 recruitment process from start to finish, through a combination of structured learning and on-the-job training; from sourcing and interviewing candidates, meeting with clients to discuss their business needs, taking job briefs and managing the interview process, through to making placements!

You will receive 1:1 training tailored to your market and receive regular updates on industry news and trends, setting you well on your way to building a successful career as a specialist consultant.

Starting out as a Resourcer, focusing on building a talent pool of great candidates, you will work closely alongside an experienced Senior Consultant on one of our high performing teams, as you immerse yourself in your market.

It's a lively, fun and fast-paced role, where no day is the same.

We’re looking for positive people who are articulate (both verbally and in writing), enthusiastic, highly motivated, ambitious, hard working and commercially savvy.

You’ll need to be a quick learner, demonstrate initiative and be hyper curious, with a genuine passion for the creative, digital and communications industries.

With at least 12 months work experience behind you, we are not expecting you to be a recruitment or sales professional (yet!), but previous exposure to telesales, fundraising or promotions, will definitely put you in good stead.

In return, we will offer you a dedicated and dynamic training programme and the opportunity to learn from the industry’s finest, in a dynamic and forward thinking environment - with a clear road-map for performance-related progression.

The Perks

We offer a competitive starting salary of £23,000, an achievable and regular bonus scheme and a flexible benefits package that can be tailored to you.

We also offer:

  • A collaborative and supportive company culture
  • Ongoing training and mentoring throughout your career
  • Unlimited holiday
  • Breakfast and fresh fruit everyday
  • Free drinks at The Major, our office bar, from 4.30pm on a Friday
  • Team updates every Friday and monthly “big round-up” meetings
  • Opportunity to attend and take part in our many industry events over the year
  • Regular social and sport events including; Christmas and Summer parties, quiz night, sports day and team nights out
  • Charity fundraising e.g. we recently raised money for MIND through our “step challenge” and The Spitalfield Trust by taking part in the Tough Mudder 5K
  • Annual Well-being Week and related workshops and events over the year
  • Office dog. Seriously…George is the best!

Next Steps

We are looking for exceptional candidates and we believe this starts with your application. Please include a covering letter, or email, to ensure that your application stands out and communicates why you’re perfect for the role.

Application deadline 21st June 2019.

Interview Process:

Initial Telephone Interviews to take place before Friday 28th June, to be followed by an assessment day week commencing Monday 8th July.
